We started Karas as a local printing company, offering leaflets and calendars for small businesses. In 2016 we partnered with a carpenter who, with their own source of Alpine wood, was able to handmake frames for our new deckchair design. Since then, we have grown from supplying cafés and restaurants to designing deckchairs for European giants like Sony, Continental and Coca Cola!

Our hardwood deckchairs were designed from the beginning to be as robust and reliable as possible, while also using only sustainable and local materials. We’re the only producer of custom deckchairs that can guarantee all our wood is from Europe – from Alpine forests in Slovenia. But we also prioritise function – our products feature removable, washable, and swappable fabric seats, so that you can always keep your chairs looking and feeling fresh!

Every step of our production process uses small, family-owned businesses. From us to the carpenter, printer and seamster, and even our European delivery company! For more than 10 years providing comfortable promotion to businesses across the European continent, we’re now also serving Britain directly from our workshop in Chichester, where we design and assemble the deckchairs.
